Ingredients

3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cloves
3/4 cup butter
2 cups buttermilk
2 teaspoon baking soda

Preparation

Step 1

Mix butter and sugar. Add rest of ingredients except buttermilk & soda. Reserve 1/2 cup of mixture. Add buttermilk & soda with first mixture and mix well. Pour in 13 x 9 greased pan. Sprinkle rest of mixture over top. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
