Skillet Penne Alia Vodka

Skillet Penne Alia Vodka 0 Picture


  • 1 T olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ,2c Vodka
  • 2 c tomato sauce (or 15 oz can)
  • 1/2 t pepper flakes
  • 1/2 t oregano
  • 1/2 t onion powder
  • 3 c uncooked penne pasta
  • 2 c water
  • 1/2 c heavy cream
  • 1/4 c grated Parmesan,pecorino, Romano cheese, plus more for serving
  • Fresh basil for garnish



Step 1

Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat.
Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds
Add vodka and cook for 1 minute (allowing alcohol t cook off).
Add tomato sauce, red pepper flakes, oregano, and onion powder and bring to simmer.

Add water and pasta and bring to a low boil. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 15 minutes, until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.

Stir in heavy cream and 1/4c Parmesan cheese and simmer for 1 minute to heat through.

Serve with fresh basil leaves and extra grated cheese sprinkled over top.
