  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cups butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • cinnamon can also be added if preferred

Preheat over to 350/

Cream together the butter and sugar. In a separate bowl whisk the three eggs. Add the eggs to the butter and sugar mix. Mix these ingredients until well blended. Stir in 1/2 cup of milk. Add the 2 tablespoons of baking powder and 2 cups of flour. Stir until smooth. Add the vanilla. Grease and flour two cake pans, pour batter into
pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with jam or preserves, or sprinkle powdered sugar over top.
