- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp gochujang
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- fresh ground pepper
- 5 eggs, fried to your liking or hard/soft boiled
- shredded carrot
- chopped cucumber *optional
- warm jasmine rice, to serve
- green onions, to serve
- sesame seeds, to serve

Preparation
Step 1
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix together soy sauce, sugar, chili paste, sesame oil, ginger and pepper. Set aside.
Heat a medium skillet over high heat. Once hot, add the beef, reduce the temperature to medium high and cook, stirring every so often until cooked through, adding the garlic cloves half way through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat off (if there is any) and return to the skillet. Pour sauce ingredients in to the skillet and stir to coat/warm through.
Add rice, beef, shredded carrot/cucumber and fried egg to bowls. top with sliced green onions, sesame seeds and a drizzle of sesame oil, if desired.
