Ingredients

  • 4 lb pork shoulder, butt or picnic roast
  • 1 T chili powder
  • 2 t oregano
  • 2 t garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 smoked or regular paprika
  • 1 1/2 cumin
  • 1 1/2 salt
  • 1 t onion powder
  • 1/2 t cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 C orange juice
  • 2/3 C water
  • Lime wedges for serving

Preparation

Step 1

1. Rinse and pat dry the roast
2. Combine and stir together all spices. Rub all over the pork.
3. Place in slow cooker, fat cap up.
4. Coming orange juice and water, pour all over the roast.
5. Slow cook, covered, 10 hours.
6. Pull roast apart, and shred with two forks.
7. Stir pulled meat through leftover juices, serve with lime wedges.
