Ingredients

  • 8 or more large cucumbers
  • 1 large cauliflower, broken up
  • 12 onions, peeled
  • 2 red peppers
  • 2 green peppers
  • 1/2 cup pickling salt
  • 5 cups hot water
  • DRESSING
  • 3 cups vinegar
  • 2 cups water
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 4 cups white sugar
  • 1 TBSP turmeric
  • 1 TBSP mustard seed
  • 1 TBSP celery seed
  • 6 TBSP dry mustard

Preparation

Step 1

Grind all vegetables. Sprinkle with pickling salt and add hot water. Let stand 1 hour. Drain thorougly. Then add dressing.
Make flour, mustard and water into a paste. Cook all together for 20 min and seal hot. Put in canner to seal

Makes 5 quarts
