  • 1/2 Teaspoon salt
  • 1 Teaspoon finely ground black pepper
  • 1/2 Cup light olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh oregano leaves (3 [3-inch] sprigs, stemmed)
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped fresh basil (5–10 leaves)
  • 1 Cup salted butter
  • 1/2 Cup vegetable oil

Step 1

This savory butter is delicious on vegetables, fish and meats.

1.Place salt, pepper, olive oil, garlic, oregano and basil in a food processor. Pulse until herbs are finely ground and there are no visible specks of pepper (30-60 seconds total).
2.Add butter and canola oil, blending until smooth.
3.Scrape into a container with a snap top and refrigerate up to 1 month.
