Ingredients

  • Hamburgers:
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/3 cup Swanson Organic Turkish Apricots, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Swanson Raw Hulled Sunflower Seeds
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Swanson Organic Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Himalayan Crystal Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Swanson Organic Cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon Swanson Organic Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon Swanson Organic Black Peppercorns, ground
  • 4 buns (we like Sara Lee Delightful Wheat Hamburger Buns)
  • Lettuce Leaves
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced
  • Sauce:
  • 1/3 cup organic ketchup
  • 1/8 teaspoon Swanson Organic Cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon Swanson Organic Cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/8 teaspoon Swanson Organic Black Peppercorns, ground

Preparation

Step 1

In a small bowl combine all sauce ingredients and stir until well blended. Set aside. In a large bowl combine beef, apricots, sunflower seeds and all hamburger spices. Shape mixture into four thick patties. If grilling outdoors, grill patties on the rack of an uncovered grill directly over medium heat for 14 to 18 minutes or until done (160° F), turning once halfway through grilling. For indoor grills, heat grill to medium heat and cook according to specific grilling instructions or until done. Serve burgers on rolls topped with sauce, lettuce, and tomatoes.
Makes 4 hamburgers. Serving size 1 hamburger.
