  • Icing:
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups plain sifted flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup crisco
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 heaping tablespoon coca
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 cup condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Cream crisco and sugar. Add eggs one at time. Add vanilla. Alternate adding flour and buttermilk. Put coca and backing soda in water and dissolve. Add to mixture. Bake in a 3 x 8 pan at 350 degree for 25 minutes.

Icing:
Melt butter and margarine. Stir in sugar and milk. Cook 45 minutes on low heat. Stir constantly. Set aside to cool. Add vanilla. Beat until thick enough to spread.
