Ingredients
- 1 scant cup fresh squeezed lime juice
- 1 1/2 cup tequila
- 1/3 cup triple sec
- 1/3 cup simple syrup
- jalapeños, sliced, with seeds (you can use serrano peppers in place of jalapeños)
- lime wedge to garnish

Step 1
I recommend to make the syrup the day before you are serving the margaritas.
Make the simple syrup. Add equal parts sugar and water, stir until sugar has dissolved. Add the jalapeños. Simmer the mixture until syrup forms. Continue to simmer to infuse the jalapeños into the syrup. Turn off the heat and let syrup sit for awhile until it has cooled. Place in a container until you are ready to use. When ready to use, strain the syrup, to remove the jalapeños and seeds.
