Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 green pepper, diced
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups macaroni
- 2 TBS sugar
- 2 tsp. salt

Preparation
Step 1
In a large skillet or Dutch oven, brown ground beef and drain off fat. add onions and peppers; saute for 2 minutes. Add remaining ingredients. Cover; reduce heat and simmer 15 to 20 minutes until macaroni is tender.
For extra richness, use 3 1/2 cups undrained whole tomatoes, chopped up, instead of tomao sauce and water.
