Ingredients

  • 5-7 large Roma tomatoes (or 6 to 8 regular sized ones)
  • 1 jalapeño (or more if you want a bigger kick)
  • 1/4 large red onion
  • 1/2 cup cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 to 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • juice from 1 fresh lime or lemon

Step 1

Coarsely chop the tomatoes, jalapeño, onion, and cilantro. Put into a food processor with the salt, pepper, lemon or lime juice, and garlic. Then simply pulse for 1 to 2 seconds roughly 5-10 times. Don't over do the processing or else you end up with a puree. The ingredients should still be kind of chunky.

Put in the fridge for about an hour to let the flavors all mix up. Then chomp!
