Ingredients

  • 4 medium to large russet potatoes
  • 1 TBS butter
  • 3 to 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bake the potatoes by rubbing them lightly with oil and then bake them in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until tender. Mash the potatoes and remove half of the skin. Make sure to leave some of the skin. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat, add garlic and saute for 5 minutes. Add mashed potatoes, water and cream and cook for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring often until garlic potatoes are hot and creamy. Add milk to thin. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
