Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. beef round steak 3/4-inch thick
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 (16-0z) can stewed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped carrots
  • 1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce

Step 1

Cut meat in 4 portions. Mix flour and salt; pound into meat. Set aside remaining flour. Place meat in shallow baking dish. Blend remaining flour with drippings in skillet. Add remaining ingredients. Cook, stirring constantly till mixture boils. Pour over meat. Cover; bake 350 degrees for 2 hours or till tender. Also can be cooked in crockpot.
