Ingredients

  • 1 large sweet onion chopped
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tbls. dry or yellow mustard
  • 1 tbls. Worcestershire sauce
  • 5 cans 15 ozs, each of beans well drained: ( I use one can of red kidney, 1 can lima, 1 can garbanzo, 1 can Great Northern and 1 can butter beans)

Preparation

Step 1

Place all ingredients in a 4 quart slow cooker, mix well. Cook on high setting 4-5 hours or low setting 10 - 12 hours. I prefer the low setting since it gives more time for the flavors to blend. Refrigerates well.
You can mix everything together the night before and place in slow cooker first thing in the morning.
