Mantecaditos (Tasty Cookies)

Ingredients

• 1/4 pound butter
• 1/2 cup veg shortening
• 1/2 sugar
• 1 tsp almond extract
• 2 1/4 cup flour
• maraschino cherries

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350

Cream butter and shortening. Blend in sugar then rest of indredients.

Take mixture by teaspoon full and form ball in palm of hand.

arrange on ungreased cookie sheet. Press each ball gently with palm of hand to make cookie

cut cherry into pieces and garnish each cookie with a piece in center

Bake about 20 minutes or until golden brown

cook and store in air tight container.
