Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 1 green pepper, seeded and diced
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 9 oz package frozen 100% beef sandwich steaks
  • 9 oz package Mission® Tortilla Chips: Thin + Crispy
  • 1/2 lb sliced American cheese

Step 1


Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a small frying pan. Add diced peppers and onions and continue to saute, stirring occasionally, until softened.

Meanwhile, melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet. Add frozen sandwich steaks in batches and saute until cooked through. Drain cooked steak on paper towels.

Place half of tortilla chips on a lined cookie sheet. Lay half of the sliced cheese over chips, then steak, then peppers and onions. Repeat layers for remaining ingredients.

Place under broiler for 3 - 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve immediately.

Yield: 8 servings
