Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp water
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup nuts
- 1 cup chocolate chips

Step 1
1) Cream with beater shortening, sugars, vanilla and water.
2) Beat in eggs
3) Sift and mix the flour, soda and salt.
4) Blend the creamed mixture and the flour mixture
5) Add nuts
6) Spread into a greased 9X13 inch pan
7) Press chocolate chips on the top of the batter.
8) Preheat oven to 375 degrees
9) Bake for 25 minutes or until done
10) If you want to marbelize, after one minute in the oven, run a knife through the batter to pull the chocolate chips through the bars.
