Ingredients
- Alternate Topping:
- 8 Eggs
- 1 pint Half and Half
- 2 cups Milk
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp Vanilla
- 2 tsp Cinnamon
- 5 Granny Smith Apples (sliced into rings)
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 loaf French Bread, sliced
- 2 cups Brown Sugar
- 2 tsp Dark Karo Syrup
- 3/4 cup Butter, softened
- 1 cup chopped Nuts (Pecans, Walnuts, Almonds)

Step 1
Preheat oven to400* spray or greased 9x13 pan cut bread into 1 1/2 “ slices and lay flat in pan. Beat Eggs, Half and Half, Milk, Vanilla,1/4 cup sugar and vanilla. Pour half the mixture over the bread. Next layer apple rings. Cover with remaining mixture. Combine ½ cup sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle over apples and dot with butter.. Refrigerate overnight Mix topping ingredients and crumble over the bread if desired. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 50 minutes
Additional assembly 1 cup light brown sugar 1/2 cup butter 2 Tbsp. light corn syrup Place in medium saucepan. Cook over low heat until mixture comes to a boil; boil 1 minute. Pour mixture into the 13x" baking dish. Then arrange bread over it.
