Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 8 tbs (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 1/4 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup cocoa

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°. Line with baking cups or spray lightly with oil.
Sift together flour, baking soda and salt on wax paper.
Beat butter until light and fluffy. Add sugar. Beat until well incorporated. Add eggs one at a time, mixing slowly after each addition.
Combine vanilla and milk in a large measuring cup. Add 1/3 of flour mixture to the butter mixture, then gradually add 1/3 of the milk mixture, beating well. Continue until all the milk mixture and flour mixture are gone. Add cocoa powder.
Scoop into cupcake pan. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cupcake comes out clean.
