Ingredients
- 6 cups frozen mixed berries (1 3/4 pounds)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp finely grated orange zest
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 2 TBSP corn starch
- 2 TBSP water

Preparation
Step 1
Stir together berries, sugar, zest and juice in a slow cooker. Cook on high until bubbling, simmer 1 1/2 hours. Stir occasionally.
Stir together cornstarch and water until dissolved. Stir into berries and stir until thickened. Serve warm or room temperature.
Compote can be made up to 5 days ahead and kept refrigerated.
