Ingredients

  • Garnish:
  • 2 oz Knappogue Castle Single Malt Irish Whiskey 12-Year
  • 3 ⁄4 oz Strawberry syrup*
  • 1 ⁄2 oz Lillet Rose
  • 1 ⁄2 oz Fino sherry
  • 2 dashes Dead Rabbit Orinoco bitters
  • 1 barspoon Aged balsamic vinegar
  • Strawberry
  • Glass: Coupe

Preparation

Step 1

Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.

Shake, and double-strain into a coupe.

Garnish with a strawberry.

*Strawberry syrup:

2 lbs Fresh strawberries
2 cups Sugar
4 cups Water
Slice the strawberries into quarters and place in saucepan with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 20 minutes. Skim the excess foam and remove from heat. Strain the strawberries, including liquid, into a pot. Discard the berries and add the sugar. Bring liquid to a boil until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
