Ingredients

  • 2 lb chicken breast, boneless
  • 2 Tbs soy sauce
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 6 Tbs oil
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped medium
  • 2 green bell , chunked
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger root, grated
  • 1 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp wine vinegar
  • 2 tsp sherry
  • 1 Tbs soy sauce
  • 1 dash hot pepper sauce

Preparation

Step 1

1. Prepare cooking sauce and set aside. Cut Chicken into thin strips. Mix with Cornstarch and soy sauce and set aside. Heat Wok over high heat and add 1/2 oil to Wok. Add nuts, stirring till brown. Remove. Add Chicken to oil and cook till opaque. Lift out. Add peppers and rest of oil to pan with the ginger. Cook, stirring till light green. Add Chicken and the cooking sauce and stir till thick. Add the nuts. Serve over steamed white rice. NOTE: ALL INGREDIENTS IN THIS RECIPE HAVE BEEN DOUBLED FROM THE ORIGINAL RECIPE PUBLISHED IN SUNSET MAGAZINE.
