Ingredients

  • 120 ounce can of crushed pineapple in heavy syrup
  • 1 21 ounce can of cherry pie filling
  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 stick butter or margarine

Preparation

Step 1

preheat oven to 350.
grease a 9x13 baking pan. spread with pineapple (with syrup)
spoon the cherry pie filling evenly over the pineapple. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the mixture, then the nuts over all.
slice the butter into thin slices and place evenly over the other ingredients. Bake for 50 minutes or until golden.
Remember to bake the cake in the center of the rack in the middle of the oven.
