Ingredients
- 1 box devil's food cake mix
- 1/8 tsp ground chipotle pepper
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries
- 6 oz low-fat evaporated milk
- 8 oz semisweet chocolate, melted
- 2 cups low-fat whipped topping
Preparation
Step 1
1.) Heat oven to 350 degree F. Grease two 8" round cake pans. Prepare cake mix as package directs, adding chipotle pepper, cinnamon, and strawberries. Divide batter between prepared pans.
2.) Bake 25 minutes or until done. Let cool in pans 10 minutes. Unmold; let cool completely. Meanwhile, in blender on high, blend milk and melted chocolate 30 sec. or until thickened. Transfer chocolate ganache to bowl. Let sit 1 hour.
3.) Place 1 cake layer on platter; spread with 1/2 ganache. Top with remaining cake layer; spread with 1/2 ganache. Pipe whipped topping on cake in decorative design. Garnish as desired.
