Ingredients
- 2 lbs.Idaho potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced.
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 2 tsp. chopped garlic
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

Preparation
Step 1
Using a large sauce pan over medium heat, combine cream, milk, garlic, nutmeg and salt. Add potatoes and simmer for 30 minutes.
Heat oven to 380 degrees. Transfer potatoes to ovenproof casserole dish.
add butter and bake until tender and golden brown, about one hour.
