Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2/3 cup warm water
  • GLAZE
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons water

Preparation

Step 1

combine 1 1/2 cups cake mix, flour and yeast in a bowl
add warm water stirring until smooth
stir in eggs
spoon batter into a greased and floured 9 X 13 pan
spoon pie filling evenly ver batter
set aside
cut butter into remaining cake mix, then mix with a pastry blender or fork until mixture is crumbly
sprinkle over pie filling
bake at 350* for 25 to 30 minutes
cool in pan, then drizzle with glaze
any flavor of fruit pie filling may be used for this recipe
