Preparation
Step 1
1. Measure Oatmeal. Place small amounts in a food processor or blender and grind into a fine powder. Mix dry ingredients together and set aside. Cream together the Butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Gradually add the flour mixture. Finally stir in the chips, chocolate and nuts. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets. Make golf ball size cookies and place them 2 inches apart. I use a small "meatball maker" tool to get uniform amounts. Bake at 375 F for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool on cookie sheets for about 2 minutes before removing to cooling racks.
Makes 112 cookies. Store in an airtight container. Entire recipe contains 16,1100 calories. A lower calorie version may be made by eliminating the Hershey Bar and the nuts. This will produce a dough with only 11,320 total calories. The recipe as written is 53% fat. The modified cookie is 42% fat.
