  • one 12-ounce package fine egg noodles
  • 1 Tbsp. kosher salt
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 large eggs, beaten

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Bring a large pot of water to a boil over high heat.
Add the noodles and cook according to package directions, al dente. drain and immediately transfer to a glass 9" pie plate. add the salt,sugar, pepper and eggs, stirring quickly to incorporate. sprinkle the top with more pepper, if desired.
Bake on the middle rack for 30-40 minutes, until the top is lightly browned and crisp and bottom looks set. Let cool for a few minutes before cutting into slices.
To serve, place one slice in each bowl of hot chicken soup.
