Ingredients
- 3 sticks of butter
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. water
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 c. chocolate chips
- 1 c. pecans, coarsely broken

Step 1
In heavy saucepan, combine butter, sugar, water and salt. Using a candy thermometer, cook to hard-crack stage (300) stirring constantly with a WOODEN SPOON (plastic will melt). This will take about 20-25 minutes. Immediately pour into 9 x 13 pan lined with parchment. Immediately pour chocolate chips right on hot toffee and spread around when melted. Sprinkle with nuts pressing them into chocolate. Let stand 2-3 hours or chill 30 minutes. Pull out of pan and break or cut into bite size pieces.
