Ingredients
- 1 TBS. margarine
- 1/2 C chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 12 oz. light beer
- 14.5 oz. chicken broth
- 3 TBS Cornstarch
- 2 C. half and half
- 2 C. shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Preparation
Step 1
Melt margarine in large soup pot. Add onion, garlic and Worcestershire, stir well. Add beer and raise heat, boil 3 min. Add broth and bring back to boil, lower temp to simmer.
Combine cornstarch with 3 TBS water; set aside
Add cream and cheese to soup. Stir constantly until cheese melts. Stir in cornstarch mixture, stir constantly until thickened.
