Pasta Crab or Shrimp Casserole

Ingredients
- 8 oz uncooked spiral pasta
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 8 oz pk mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 8oz pkg / cans crabmeat, chopped
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, sharp or extra old

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cook pasta according to pkg directions. Rinse with cold water to stop cooking. Set aside.
In skillet, saute onions, mushrooms, green peppers and garlic in butter until crisp tender. Remove from heat. Add drained pasta to cooked vegetables. Stir in crab, sour cream, salt and basil.
Transfer to a 9x13 dish or 2 8 inch square baking dishes. Sprinkle with cheese. cover and bake for 20 minutes, uncover and bake 10 more minutes.
You can also freeze the casseroles. Cover with foil and freeze. Thaw in refrigerator overnight. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Cover and bake 350 degrees for 55 - 60 minutes.
NOTES: Not a fan of crab, use a pound of cooked chopped shrimp instead.
