Epicure Beef Stew
cook in slow cooker on low 8 hours or high 4 hours or in oven at 200 degrees for 8 hours. Very tasty and easy to prep.

Ingredients
- 2 Lbs stewing beef, chunked
- 2 cups carrots, potatoes, celery and mushrooms, large chunks
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 TBSP 3 onion dip
- 1 TBSP lemon dilly dip
- salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cups beef broth (substitute 1 cup with red wine, optional)

Preparation
Step 1
season meat with salt and pepper and brown in frying pan. Remove meat, add onions and celery and cook until browed.
Put all ingredients into slow cooker and stir. Cook on low 8 hours or high 4 hours.
To thicken, make a slurry of 2 tbsp corn starch and 1 tbsp water. Stir into crockpot, stir let cooked an additional 10 minutes with cover on.
Make it ahead and freeze:
1. Place a large freezable bag standing open in a bowl; this will keep it in place when adding ingredients.
2. Place all ingredients except broth in the bag, seal, and lay flat in the freezer.
3. When ready to eat, remove from freezer at least 1 hour before cooking.
4. Place contents in the slow cooker, add broth, cover, and cook for 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low setting.
