Ingredients
- 3/4 - to1-pound red cabbage, cored and very thinly sliced
- 1 small red onion, halved and thinly sliced
- Salt and black pepper
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 6 juniper berries
- 2 fresh bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon each cumin seed and caraway seed
