Ingredients
- 13 tablespoon sbutter (no substitutes)
- 6-1/2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, coarsely chopped
- 1-1/2 cups sifted cake flour or all-purpose flour
- 3/4 taspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 1-1/4 taspoon vanilla
- 1-1/4 cups coarsely chopped walnuts, toasted

Step 1
1. Grease a 13x9x2-inch baking pan; set aside. In a heavy small saucepan, heat the butter and chocolate over low heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate is melted and smooth. Set aside to cool. In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
2. In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs and sugar with an electric mixer on high seed for 5 minutes or till lemon-colored and fluffy, scraping sides until combined. Add flour mixture. Beat on low speed till combined, scrapin gsides of bowl. Stir in walnuts. Spread the batter in the prepared pan. Bake in a 325 degree F oven for 30 minutes or until brownies appear set.
3. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Makes 15 servings.
