Ingredients

    package Duncan Hyanes classic yellow cake

  • 1

    package Instant vanilla jello

  • 4

    eggs

  • 1/2

    cup vegetable oil

  • 1/2

    cup water

  • 1/2

    cup rum

  • Sauce

  • a stick butter

  • 1

    cup sugar 1/4 cup water

  • 1/2

    cup rum

Directions

Bun pan slightly buttered and flowered (I think she means: Bundt pan- but the rest is as Lilibet wrote it) Oven 325 F one hour mix all six ingredients till smooth. pour into bun pan and bake five minutes before finishing baking cake in small sauce pan melt butter and sugar.then remove from burner and very slowly add rum constantly stirring. once cake is removed from oven and turned over poke with a sharp knife all over ,about an inch apart, and pour rum sauce. when cool cover with aluminum foil and refrigerate. this can be done 3 days ahead. just before serving sprinkle with confectionary sugar
