K's Sausage Cornbread Stuffing

Ingredients
- 1 lb. Neese's Sausage
- 2 cups celery, chopped
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 4 cups (or more) homemade Cornbread, crumbled (Cover with towel and let sit for 1-2 days to dry out some)
- 1 cup Pep.Farm Herb Seasoned Stuffing, if desired
- 6 oz fresh mushrooms, chopped
- 3/4 Granny Smith apple, cut into cubes
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 2 cups (or more) chicken broth, warmed with 1-2 T. of Better than Bouillon Turkey base
- 1 egg, lightly beaten

Preparation
Step 1
Cook sausage until browned; remove and drain on paper towels. Saute celery,onion, mushrooms and apple in same skillet unitl softened. Add to sausage, cornbread,and add remaining ingredients. Stir well, and make sure stuffing is well moistened, almost soupy.
Bake at 350 30-40 minutes. Delicious!
