Ingredients

  • 4 cups Wheat Chex
  • 4 cups Rice Chex
  • 4 cups Corn Chex
  • 4 cups pretzels (thin, skinny, matchstick)
  • 4 cups Cheerios
  • 4 cups peanuts (dry roasted)
  • 3-4 sticks of butter
  • 3 packets of dry zesty Italian salad dressing mix
  • 10-20 dashes Worcheshire sauce
  • hot sauce optional

Preparation

Step 1

In a sauce pan, melt 3-4 sticks of butter and 3 packets of dry zesty Italian salad dressing mix (powder). Add 10-20 dashes Worcheshire sauce.

Pour the butter mix over the cereal mix slowly while stirring completely covering the dry mix. Roast in oven at 300 for 1 hour or so, stirring every 15 min.

When it comes out of the oven, there shouldn't be any soggy pieces. If there are, give it 10 more minutes and try again. Sometimes it takes longer, depending on how wet it is.

Pour the hot mix out on a large strip of paper towels to cool and let some of the excess butter drain.
