Ingredients
- 4 cups all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 4 teaspoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 sticks cold butter cut into 1/2" pieces (or put butter in freezer for about 10 minutes, then using a grater, grate the butter straight into the large bowl of sifted flour.)
- 2 cups chilled whipping cream

Lightly butter large baking sheet. Sift first 4 ingredients into large bowl. Add butter; rub in with fingers until mixture resembles coarse meal. Gradually add cream, stirring with fork to blend. Gather dough into ball and divide in half.
Knead each dough piece on floured surface 8 times. Shape each dough into rectangle. Roll out into 8x4x1" rectangle. Cut each into eight 2" squares. Place on baking sheet, spacing 1 1/2" apart. (Can be made 1 week ahead. Cover and freeze. Thaw 1 hour at room temperature before continuing). Bake until golden and cooked through for about 20 minutes.
