Ingredients
- 8 oz ground beef
- 8 oz ground pork
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/4 C uncooked rice
- 1 med onion, minced
- 1 small clove garlic, minced
- salt and pepper
- 2 T vegetable oil
- 8 C chicken broth
- 1-28 oz can diced tomatoes
- 4 C cabbage, shredded
- 1/4 C chopped fresh parsley

Preparation
Step 1
In large bowl, mix beef, pork, egg, rice, onion and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Form into 1 1/2 balls to make 25 to 30.
In Dutch oven or soup pot, heat oil over med heat; brown meatballs all over. Add chicken broth, tomatoes, including juice, and cabbage. Bring to a boil over high heat; reduce heat and cook for 20 min. Stir in parsley and serve.
