Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 5 1/2 oz cans chocolate syrup
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 7 plain chocolate bars

Preparation
Step 1
cream the butter and sugar together
add the eggs one at a time, beating after each addition
add chocolate syrup,
sift together the flour and salt and add alternately with the buttermilk and vanilla
Melt the seven chocolate bars in a double boiler and add to the above mixture
beat well
bake for one hour and 15 minutes at 350* in a greased and floured tube pan
frost with your favorite frosting or sprinkler with powdered sugar
