Pumpkin Bread by Kittys Kitchen

By

I've been making this bread recipe for over 40 years, from when I lived in Ohio. I've never found another one that I like better. I hope you try it, as it's the perfect Fall treat, and makes for nice gifts. I sometimes make mini loaf pans for gifting. They freeze well, too.

Preparation

Step 1

Sift the flour, baking soda, salt, and spices together in a large bowl. I often just use a whisk to do this.
Beat the eggs slightly, then add the pumpkin, water, sugar, oil, and nuts (if using), and mix together.
Add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix.
Pour into greased loaf pans.
Bake for 45-50 minutes at 350 degrees, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. If making mini loaves, check after 30 minutes or so.
