Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon chopped
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 large onion diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 6-8 cups cabbage chopped
- 3/4 cup carrots diced
- 2-3 tablespoons water
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- salt & pepper to taste

Step 1
Cook bacon over medium-high heat until crisp. Remove bacon, reserve drippings, and set aside.
Add butter to the drippings and cook onion until tender, about 5 minutes.
Add cabbage, carrot, salt, and pepper. Cook about 5 minutes. Add sugar and water. Let cook until cabbage is softened, about 15 minutes.
Sprinkle with bacon before serving.
