Green Beans

  • 8 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 (15 oz) cans green beans, drained

Preparation

Step 1

In a large skillet, cook bacon and onion over medium heat until bacon is crisp, stirring often. remove onion and bacon with a slotted spoon; transfer to paper towels. Leave 1/4 cup drippings in skillet.

Combine vinegar and sugar; pour into skillet. Bring to a boil.

Add beans to skillet. Cook over medium high heat until hot, stirring occasionally. Spoon into serving dish; top with bacon and onion.
