Ingredients
- 1 lb pork sausage
- 1 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/3 cup chopped green pepper
- 2 T flour
- 1 6oz can tomato paste
- 1 t salt
- 1 t chili powder
- 1/8 t pepper
- 4 oz sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup ripe olives
- 2 6oz pkg cornbread mix
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/3 cups milk

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Brown sausage, onion, and green pepper in a large skillet until sausage is brown. Stir in the flour, then add the next 4 ingredients. Remove from heat, stir in cheese and olives. Pour mixture into a 9 inch square pan. Prepare cornbread mix with eggs and milk according to package directions. Spread cornbread batter over sausage mixture. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
