Ingredients
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 pkg dry yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 TBSPS oil
- 3 cups flour
- 3 med potatoes cut into fourths
- 2 TBSPS oil
- Water

Step 1
1) Mix sugar, yeast and salt with water; Let set for about 10 minutes.
2) Put into large bowl and mix well with the flour. Knead in 1 TBSP oil
3) Add the rest of the oil to oil the outside of the dough and the bowl so dough doesn't stick to the bowl.
4) Let rise and punch down once; when risen the second time, cut pieces about the size of a large walnut.
5) Put on floured waxed paper and let rise for about 1 hour.
6) Put oil into large pan. Add potatoes and enough water to be 1/2 inch deep. Let cook for about 5 minutes.
7) Add dumplings and cook, uncovered, for about 5 minutes.
8) Cover and cook another 10 or 15 minutes, or till no more steam escapes or till it smells like it is starting to burn.
P.S. If you take the lid off too soon, before all the steam is gone, they may get soggy.
