Preparation
Step 1
13-Minute Meatloaf
6 ounces ground beef
4 ounces ground pork
4 ounces ground veal
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Directions:
1. Pre-heat your Copper Chef Pan and Press for 3 minutes on high in the microwave.
2. Meanwhile, combine the meatloaf ingredients in a large bowl. Form a loaf to fit into the Copper Chef microwave grill pan. (Note: A long oval is better than a plump round loaf in this pan.)
3. Remove the pan from the microwave and place the meatloaf into the hot pan.
4. Insert the extender ring and then add the grill press on top of the loaf.
5. Cook on high power for 7 minutes. Let it rest in the microwave for another 6 minutes.
6. While the meatloaf is cooking, combine the glaze ingredients in a small bowl.
7. Remove the cooked meatloaf to a serving plate, brush immediately with the glaze, garnish with parsley. Slice and serve.
*Make sure you cook the meatloaf to an internal temperate of at least 165 degrees F.
*optional to stuff with low moisture mozzarella or cheddar cheese. Just press 1/2 cup to 1 cup of cheese into the raw loaf which you've cut lengthwise and have made a little room for cheese along the base. Then put the loaf back together and remold.
