Ingredients
- 1 pound whole wheat rotini
- 8 cups broccoli, finely chopped
- 6 cloves garlic, sliced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- salt and pepper
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Step 1
1. Cook pasta.
2. Meanwhile, saute broccoli and garlic in olive oil in a cast iron pan, until garlic is golden and broccoli is bright green and crisp-tender. Season generously. Add a bit of pasta cooking water to steam the broccoli a bit.
3. Drain pasta; toss with broccoli and cheese.
Easy, inexpensive, and just absolutely delicious. Doubled the broccoli, used whole wheat rotini, and cut back on the olive oil. Great weeknight meal. Next time would sizzle the garlic first to make the olive oil garlicky. Only downside was the gastrointestinal side effect …
