CHERRY PIE
Got this recipe on line .. I tried a few options.. and this one was the best.

Ingredients
- FILLING
- 4 1/2 cups pitted cherries
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp almond extract
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 TBSP cold, unsalted butter
- 1 egg yolk
Details
Preparation
Step 1
Add all ingredients for filling.
Place into pie crust.
Cut butter into small chunks and dab onto the filling.
Put top on the pie crust.
Using a pastry brush, brush crust.
Bake at 400 for 20 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
remove from heat
Cool at least 3 hours.
