Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter
- 3 cups sugar
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. fresh squeezed lemon
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup sour cream
- 6 whole eggs
- 3 cups flour

Step 1
Preheat oven to 325 degrees
Grease and flour tube pan
Beat butter until well creamed. Beat in sugar slowly until well mixed. Add baking soda, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Add sour cream and beat well. Alternate two eggs at a time with the 1/2 cup flour. Mix well after adding eggs, and when adding flour.
Add to prepared tube pan.
Bake for 1 1/2 hour - 1 3/4 hour. Check cake after 1 1/2 hour with cake tester. Cake is done when tester comes out clean.
